1968 Mustang Fastback / All Electric Zombie 222
The car featured in this article is a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback, entirely powered by electric fuel cells. In addition to that, the car's ownership claims a Zero to 60 MPH time of 2.82 seconds. The original engine for this car was a 289 cubic inch small-block. When this car hit the drag strip with it's powerful electric batteries it's front wheels raised over a foot off the ground. The converted model shown here is the prototype Zombie 222.

In the case of the Mustang Zombie 222, the car's performance speaks for itself. When the car drives past the only sound you'll likely hear is that of the tires rolling over the pavement. The fact of the matter is that the electric Zombie 222 is basically silent running but can do the quarter mile in 10.5 seconds.
For a comparison, let's look at a few 68 Ford Mustang performance numbers. The1968 Ford Mustang GT COUPE dragster was rated for the quarter mile at 13.386 seconds. Zero to 60 was rated at 2.217 seconds.
A 69 Mustang Fastback Coupe with a 429 V-8 delivering 380 horsepower and a four speed manual gear box did Zero to 60 in 5.1 seconds.
A 1969 Ford Mustang Mach I with a 351 cubic inch 245 horsepower four speed manual combination did the Zero to 60 in 7.5 seconds.

The prototype 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback Zombie 222 is powered by two, 11-inch electric motors, a pair of Zilla controllers, and a 40 kWh battery pack. This set up helps deliver an amazing 750 horsepower. The prototype Zombie 222 car shown here is perfect for someone who wants to buy a Tesla but misses his old muscle car too much.
This Mustang that was converted to all electric was found in Houston Texas. The car as rust free and, as mentioned above, had a 289 cubic inch engine in it that was taken out.
Two Texas automobile enthusiasts put together Bloodshed Motors with the intention of doing to it's Mustangs what Caroll Shelby did for the Mustang during the 1960's. Of course while Shelby worked with large displacement Ford internal combustion engines, the people at Bloodshed Motors are doing it with clean green electric power.

The body of this all electric car is a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback.
The power capacity for this car consists of 42 kWh, 3600 amps and 355 nominal volts. Battery is Lithium.
Rear suspension is 3 link Street or Track and front suspension is Coil over Street or Track. The braking system consists of four wheel 13" high performance Wilwood disc.
As mentioned above the power plant consists of two Warp 11 electric motors. The motor is an 11.45" diameter, series wound DC motor with a .875" diameter tailshaft. The motor case length is 17.085 inches. Max RPM's are 8,000.
The Zombie 222 does Zero to 60 in 2.82 seconds and the quarter miles in 10.5 seconds. This is even with the front wheels rising over a foot at the start. Claimed street range is 125 miles.
