Honda will soon be replacing the current Honda Freed and Honda Freed Spike with an all new model.  Mag-X produced an artist concept of a possible replacement. For readers unaware, this is another Honda Fit platform based vehicle sold in Japan.  Current Honda Freed is a three-row minivan, and the Freed Spike is more utility vehicle. Honda recently displayed the 2017 Honda Civic 5-door hatchback at the Geneva Motor Show and New York Auto Show.  In typical autoshow "concept" form the car had exaggerated features and bodywork.  These recent spy pictures are the production car undergoing final testing in Europe. One feature I'm seeing in these photos appears to be a panoramic sunroof.  This would be a great addition for North America.  The Acura ZDX is the only product to offer a large pano roof in North America.

Honda will debut the production version of the UR-V and Acura will debut the CDX on April 25 at the Beijing Auto Show.  Acura plans to build the CDX locally in China for the Chinese market making this the first Acura  product built in China.

Many may not be aware, but Malaysian automaker Proton licensed the previous generation Honda Accord Sedan to build and sell in Malaysia under the Proton name.  Literally a "badged-engineered" product. Looks like Proton is teasing a concept of the new Perdana, and upon close inspection of the photos, it appears to also be based on the previous generation Honda Accord Sedan with some new body panels this time.   Below are current Proton Perdana models, and yes, including a stretched limousine based on the Honda Accord. 

One visual different to the North American Civic are the exposed dual exhaust pipes .  Plumbing is identical, only change is the exhaust finishers with a stepped look for a sportier appearance.  A "VTEC Turbo" emblem is also placed on the trunk lid. The all new Civic is launched in Indonesia, and the 1.5 turbo is the only engine choice.  Also offered are paddle shifters.  Standard LED headlights, LED running lights, remote start and many others standard.

Honda Indonesia also unveiled a sportier-looking Honda Brio RS at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2016 today. The Honda Brio RS gets sportier upgrades over the facelift seen in the new Honda Brio Satya. It features bigger 15-inch rims, side skirts, projector headlamps with LED guide lights, power-operated ORVMs with turn indicators, rear glass garnish and RS badges. The interior of the Brio RS is differentiated from the regular Brio Satya by featuring an all-black cabin with orange stitching on the fabric seats and a 6.2-inch touchscreen unit. Otherwise, the changes are similar to Brio Satya. Both get a new dashboard sourced from the Honda BR-V that is simpler and well-appointed, single pod instrument dials and new HVAC controls with a dedicated display.
